Traffic jams occur everywhere, especially the big cities. The increase in vehicles on the road are not comparable with the availability and quality of the road itself.
So not only the number or width of the road are lacking, but also the condition of the road itself also affects the smoothness of traffic. Roads are hollow, making the vehicle must pass through slowly, causing long traffic jams that just because a hole in the road.
Regional Government of Bandung has also tried to set the time pattern of use of highways, such as for example in Bandung, all schools are encouraged to promote school hours to 06.30 am.
So that the portion of road use can be regulated, the result does look a reduction in congestion in areas that are usually jammed around 7-8 hours of the morning.
Through this article I try to share experiences on the impact of traffic congestion on fuel consumption in our vehicles, apply for car or motorcycle. If it jams, fuel consumption would be wasteful. Why?
Stop and Go, and wasteful of fuel
Like we push the car that broke down, encouraging, then stop, then pushed again, stopped again, pushed again. Surely it would be more physical exertion and sweat, we will be very thirsty.
Approximately the same analogy with a car / motorcycle we now through the jammed streets.
Car / motorcycle requires a lot of energy to start moving from rest. Far more energy is needed than to increase the speed when it moves. In this case the energy derived from fuels / fuel.
So the more the Stop and Go, gasoline consumption will be more extravagant, than through a smooth road.
